On Site Labourer

We are currently seeking two full-time On-Site Labourers. Fusion Underground, Sarasota Homes and Realty has been serving all of St. Albert's real estate needs for over 30 years. Our construction division focuses on one-of-a-kind custom-builds and our realty branch on client-focused sales throughout the Edmonton area. We have over 30 dynamic people on our team, and we are excited to welcome another team member to the family.

Our goals include providing exceptional client service, community-building, fostering an inclusive culture, and fully supporting our team members.

About the role - Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of shallow utilities for power, gas, and telecommunications.
  • Perform general labour duties such as digging, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup.
  • Transport materials to worksites and ensure all tools and equipment are safely set up.
  • Operate hand tools and small equipment (e.g., drills, shovels, etc.).
  • Support various tradespeople as required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety codes and company principles.
  • Maintain clean and safe worksites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct site and equipment inspections.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications you bring:

  • Previous construction or shallow utility experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from worksites (note: public transit is limited in some project areas).
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
  • Dependable, organized, and a positive team player with a strong work ethic.

  • This is an on-site/outdoor (8+ hours/ 5 days a week) position.
