Licensed Assistant
Raymond James Ltd. is seeking an experienced Licensed Assistant to work in our Barrie office. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.<br><br>Mandatory Licensing Requirements to apply for position:<br><br><ul><li>Industry CSC licensing is mandatory;</li><li>Three years experience as an IR in the industry;<br><br></li></ul>Administration, Marketing, duties:<br><br><ul><li>Execute the administrative processes and systems;</li><li>Responsible for monitoring client accounts and maintaining client files; </li><li>Scan all client documentation to central server files;</li><li>Welcome clients into the office and take care of requests;</li><li>Follow through with Master Calendar that lays out our actions each month/year;</li><li>Support the pre-trade process for all PM trades;</li><li>Assist in planning, organizing and executing client and charitable events periodically throughout the year;</li><li>Review our marketing processes – social media, ads, client cards and milestone recognition;</li><li>Gain overview of US domiciled account systems and process;</li><li>Objective is to be an integral part of all that the administrative team does and how they support the business. <br><br></li></ul>Periodic safety and light office duties, as needed:<br><br><ul><li>In winter, assist to occasionally clear walkway and put down salt for everyone’s safety;</li><li>Prior to client meetings walk through office area with fresh view and ensure office is clean and up to high standards;</li><li>Be prepared to perform minor troubleshooting and software updates with office computers, fax and copier;</li><li>Objective is for everyone to take ‘ownership’ of the office systems and safety of everyone. <br><br></li></ul>More focused on these responsibilities after oriented with Administrative duties:<br><br><ul><li>Prepare client reports and files ahead of Advisor client meetings; </li><li>Manage account cash holdings and work to ensure always invested, earning top rates;</li><li>Follow up with GIC maturities and working with clients to ensure cash investments match time frame and objectives;</li><li>Work with team to identify where you can provide specialized support for different aspects of the business;</li><li>Prepare follow up notes for team to take action and ensure all wrapped up before folder filed;</li><li>Support quarterly review report preparation with team. <br><br></li></ul>To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:<br><br><ul><li>Securities license in good standing;</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience, working within the Financial Services industry as an IR;</li><li>Able to provide constructive suggestions, ideas to improve client’s experience with our office;</li><li>Great organizational skills and a dependable nature to meet deadlines; </li><li>The ability to organize year’s reoccurring tasks;</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; </li><li>The ability to follow and execute well laid out business processes;</li><li>The ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a professional and friendly manner; </li><li>A positive attitude and strong work ethic; </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving skills;</li><li>The ability to prioritize and multitask; </li><li>Openness and willingness to learn new systems;</li><li>The ability to work well independently; </li><li>Meticulous attention to detail; </li><li>Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); </li><li>Familiar with CRM software tools;<br><br></li></ul>Advantageous Designations and Additional Licensing:<br><br><ul><li>CIM or CFA designation </li><li>CFP designation </li><li>Life Insurance license </li><li>US securities licensing – series 7 or Series 65 (if PM qualified) </li><li>TEP designation<br><br></li></ul>Support is provided to cover some costs of relevant applicable advanced financial designations, as well as on-going focused professional career development, if you are a successful candidate.<br><br><strong>Job<br><br></strong>Wealth management<br><br><strong>Primary Location<br><br></strong>CA-ON-Barrie-Barrie<br><br><strong>Organization<br><br></strong>PCG IFS<br><br><strong>Schedule<br><br></strong>Full-time<br><br><strong>Status<br><br></strong>Permanent Full-Time
