Intermediate Technical Writer

Position OverviewCalian is seeking 2 Intermediate Technical Writers to assist our client with the facilitation of their project.Responsibilities Develop content: Research and write concept, design, and discussion papers on future CA and military capability topics. Gathering information, analyzing the subject and the audience, and producing clear documentation Creating accurate, complete and concise documentation to communicate the needs of the requirement using word-processing, desk-top publishing and graphics software packages to produce final camera-ready copy Reviewing documents, drawings and associated data for conformance to established standards while following governmental publishing guidelines Deliver briefings: Present key ideas, updates, and terminology changes. Modifying, validating and compiling documents and conveying technical material in a concise, effective manner Qualifications Must have a post-secondary degree from a Canadian University or College Must have 2 years of experience, within the last 6 years, in creating or contributing to military policy, military concepts & design or military doctrine documents Additional Requirements Must have or be eligible to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level Security clearances A security clearance and/or vulnerable sector screening might be required for this position.
