GTAdjusters has immediate openings for full-time and part-time Field Claims Adjusters. We're seeking highly motivated professionals with experience in investigations, coverage determination, liability and damage assessments, and client reporting. Current focus areas include Accident Benefits, Bodily Injury, Commercial Liability, and Property.
GTAdjusters is a stable, growing, and long-established firm providing adjusting services across Canada. We offer opportunities for experienced All-Lines insurance claims professionals and potential for advancement into supervisory roles for high-performing candidates.
The successful candidate will manage claims from first notice of loss to closure, working closely with insurer clients. This is a remote position based from your area of residence, requiring a home office setup and availability during regular business hours.
Duties
- Handle claims from initial assignment through to closure, including investigations, assessments, and reporting.
- Conduct detailed interviews and obtain professional statements.
- Liaise with investigating agencies and manage related documentation.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional reports and file notes.
- Respond to client and customer inquiries promptly, typically same-day.
- Use claims management systems to update files, attach enclosures, and manage diaries.
- Collaborate with supervisors on claim exposures and file development.
- Manage time effectively to meet production, reporting, and authority deadlines.
- Negotiate settlements and determine exposures in line with client expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in claims adjusting with insurers, corporate claims departments, or TPAs.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, including cause-and-effect analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and interviewing.
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical analysis.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Client-focused with a proactive, service-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in conflict resolution and relationship building.
- Experience with detailed documentation and diary control.
Requirements
- Availability during regular business hours with flexibility for part-time or full-time work.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for fieldwork.
