Event Planner

About the Project

We're an Adelaide-based tech startup that has just launched Livvy - a social discovery mobile app designed to help people connect for real-life events and meetups.

To help drive early adoption and community engagement, we're looking to seed a series of fun, inclusive social events that showcase what Livvy is all about - real people, real connections, and real experiences.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Event Planner/Promoter to plan, organize, and promote these initial Livvy-branded events in Adelaide.

This role will involve both creative direction and hands-on execution - from designing event concepts to coordinating logistics, partnerships, and promotional activity.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage a small series of launch or "seed" events (social gatherings, meetups, entertainment experiences, etc.)
Collaborate with our team to ensure events align with Livvy's brand and purpose

Source and engage influencers and local creators to promote events and attract attendees

Drive local buzz through social media, digital marketing, and word-of-mouth promotion

Assist with capturing photo and video content at events for marketing use

Provide insights and recommendations on event growth strategy and partnerships

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Based in Adelaide, South Australia
  • Experienced in event planning, promotion, or nightlife/entertainment management
  • Confident in working with influencers and local venues
  • Skilled in content creation, marketing campaigns, and community engagement
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and excited about working with a growing startup
  • Connected to Adelaide's social and creative scene (a big plus)
