Join our dynamic University Advancement team as an <strong>Annual Giving Officer, Volunteer Programs</strong>. Reporting to the Manager, Volunteer Programs, you’ll play a key role in cultivating a culture of giving among alumni and affinity groups, helping to drive leadership-level donations through strategic volunteer engagement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with the Manager, Volunteer Programs to identify, recruit, and support fundraising volunteers.</li><li>Lead initiatives such as the McGill Fund Leadership Council (MFLC), Reunion Giving, and identity-based giving circles.</li><li>Set and monitor annual fundraising goals and volunteer performance metrics.</li><li>Provide expert guidance on peer-to-peer fundraising strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with Donor Relations and Communications to develop stewardship and solicitation materials.</li><li>Support the integration and training of digital tools for volunteer fundraising.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with volunteers, including occasional travel for in-person engagement.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with Annual Giving, Alumni Engagement, and Stewardship teams to align strategies and maximize impact.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in development, fundraising, or volunteer management.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills in English and French.</li><li>Advanced writing proficiency in English.</li><li>Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM/database systems and social media tools.</li><li>Ability to analyze data and adapt strategies accordingly.</li><li>A collaborative spirit and a passion for building community through philanthropy.</li><li>Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><ul><li>This is a <strong>1-year term appointment</strong>.</li><li>Testing may be administered as part of the selection process.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Ready to Make an Impact?</strong></p><p>Apply now and help shape the future of philanthropy at McGill University: https://mcgill.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/McGill_Careers/job/Les-Cours-Mont-Royal/Annual-Giving-Officer--Volunteer-Programs_JR0000071153</p>
